Rotary wood chip dryer machine was developed and optimized from traditional rotary drum dryer. Rotary Wood chip dryer by Sunco Machinery has the advantages of quick drying speed, less energy consumption, low invest cost, etc., and it can reduce the wood chips moisture content from about 50% to below 10% or as need.
When the heat input and wet wood chip feeding quantity is certain, then by change the rotation speed of the dryer cylinder to increase or reduce the drying time. After drying, if the wood chip moisture content is higher than the needed moisture content, then reduce the rotation speed of the dryer drum to increase the drying time. Otherwise, increase the rotation speed of the dryer drum to reduce the drying time of wood chips.
Rotary Wood Chips Dryer Machine mainly consist of large rotary drum with inner lifting plates and guide paltes, air duct, inlet cover, outlet cover, overflow hopper, heat insulation layer, larger gear, pinion gear, reducer and motor, large ring, carrier rollers, large steel support frame, etc.
Except the rotary wood chip dryer machine, the other related equipment are burner and hot air furnace, input belt conveyor, inlet feeder, output belt conveyor, outlet feeder, steel structure support frame, air duct, cyclone separator, induced draft fan, chimney, etc.
Wet wood chips are fed at the feed inlet hole, and discharged at the dischaging hole. It is direct-type heated rotary wood chip dryer, hot air moves through the dryer cylinder directly and contact with the wet wood chips, or against the direction of the wood chips' moving direction.
The dryer cylinder is equipped with lifting plates, guide plates, etc., and shovel it up and down through the hot flue gas. During this process, the water inside the wood chips is evaporated into water vapor, and goes out of the wood chip dryer machine, finally discharges into the atmosphere directly. The moisture content of wood chip is reduced to the needed moisture content such as 20% or as need, and finally comes out from the outlet of wood chip dryer machine, and to be taken away by the output belt conveyor.
