According to the features of sawdsut which is inner water and not easy to be got rid of , thus it needs enough drying time so that the water inside the sawdust is evaporated into water vapor and finally get the needed dried sawdust.
Why need to dry the wet sawdust and reduce its moisture content ?
As wet sawdust is made of wood logs with the help of sawmill, and the usual initial moisture content of the wet sawdust is up to about 40%-50% which is still rather wet and not suitable to be used as biomass fuel.
For the production of biomass fuel such as biomass pellets, biomass briquette and charcoal, the moisture content of sawdust should be about 10%-15%, too wet or too dry both will influence the quality of biomass fuel.
Rotary sawdust drying machine designed by Sunco Machinery is ideally for drying sawdust. Within one time drying for about 15-20 minutes, the moisture content of the sawdust can be directly reduced to be about 13%-15%. The dryers is to use high temperature air to heat and dry the wet sawdust, thus to increase the contact area between hot air and sawdust will significantly increase the heat exchanging efficiency and production capacity.
