The key equipment of wood chip drying process is rotary wood chip dryer machine. Wood chip dryer is to use the hot flue gas to heat and dry the wet wood chips strongly and continuously, thus the water inside wood chips is evaporated into water vapor, and to be sucked out of the dryers under the function of induced draft fan.
Wood Chip Drying Machine mainly consists of large dryer drum, inlet cover, outlet cover, inlet hole, outlet hole, large gear, pinion gear, frequency conversion motor & reducer, large steel support frame, thickness 40mm heat insulation layer, inside welded lifting plates, screw type guiding plates, air duct, cyclone dust separator, induced draft fan, input belt conveyor, output belt conveyor, pulse bag filter, electric control cabinet, burner and hot air furnace, inlet feeder, outlet feeder, etc.
Wet wood chip are fed at the feed inlet hole, and discharged at the dischaging hole. It is direct-type heated rotary wood chip dryer machine, hot flue gas moves through the dryer cylinder in direct contact with the wet wood chips, either with or against the direction of the wood chips' moving direction. The dryer cylinder is equipped with lifting plates which lift the wood chips, and shower it up and down through the hot flue gas.
At the end of the wood chip drying process, there is one induced draft fan. Under the function of the induced draft fan, the water vapor is sucked out of the wood chip drying machine, and goes into atmosphere directly.
Regarding to heat source for the wood chip drying process, the possible choice can be waste hot flue gas from power plant, waste wood, biomass fuel, coal, diesel, natural gas, LPG, etc. The users can select the most economical heat source according to the actual need.
