Alfalfa Drying Line can process and dewater the fresh alfalfa with humidity 75-80%, and after being dried by the Alfalfa Dryer machine, the dried alfalfa can be less than 13% which is suitable for long term storage and as high quality animal feed. After being dried by the alfalfa dryer, except the water is got rid of , most of the nutrition is saved, and hay taste is good, and it is still in green color.
Firstly let make clear what does the alfalfa drying line include ?
Alfalfa drying line includes alfalfa knead machine, alfalfa dryer (rotary dryer), belt conveyor, feeder, hot ar furnace, draft fan, cyclone, electric control box, etc.
Then what is the workflow of alfalfa drying line?
Fresh alfalfa --> alfalfa knead machine --> feeder -->
rotary alfalfa dryer --> feeder --> dried alfalfa , the hot air furnace supply the hot air for the alfalfa drying process.
Why we do not dry the fresh whole alfalfa directly , but to use alfalfa knead machine ?
The fresh alfalfa consists of stem and leaves, and their size is not even, some alfalfa is big, some alfalfa is small, and their drying speed and the needed drying time also is very different, then it will highly influence the heat exchanging efficiency in the alfalfa dryer.
As a result, we use alfalfa knead machine to cut the fresh alfalfa into similar pieces in advance, and then we use the alfalfa dryer to dry the fresh alfalfa, then the drying speed will be similar, and the heat exchanging efficiency between the alfalfa and hot air is sufficiently.
