Rotary Sand Dryer Machine also is called sand dryer, silica sand drying machine, etc, and it is to use high temperature hot flue gas to heat and dry the wet sand, remove its water, thus fuel consumption cost is one key factor for the sand drying system.
Then, How to calculate the fuel consumption of rotary sand dryer machine?
For the rotary sand dryer, according to the past years' experience, to evaporate one ton water into vapor needs consume about 600,000 kilocalorie heat, and it will be some more or less according to the weather and sand moisture content, etc.
For example, the input moisture content of silica sand is 30%, output moisture content of the sand is 2% , fuel is natural gas (Heat value of natural gas is 8,500 kilocalorie per m3), processing capacity of sand dryer is 2 t/h.
Then, every hour the rotary sand dryer needs to evaporate the quantity of water is : 2- (2x70%)/98% = 2-1.42857=0.57 ton.
As a result, every hour the quantity of natural gas to be used is : (0.57 x 600,000)/8500= 40.3 m3.
The above calculation is just for reference, the real fuel consumption shoud be according to the actual situation of the raw material , environment temperature, etc.
